Which Bulldog is best for apartments and which is healthier?
Both suit apartments; Frenchies are easier to carry upstairs. Neither breed is free of health risks — the healthier puppy is the one from screened parents with good airway function and a lean adult weight.
French Bulldog vs Boston Terrier and Pug
Boston Terriers are lighter, more athletic and tend to have fewer airway issues. Pugs are similar in size, shed more and have curled tails. Frenchies sit between them in energy.
English Bulldog vs American Bulldog, Olde English Bulldogge and American Bully
American Bulldogs and Olde English Bulldogges are taller and more athletic with longer muzzles. American Bullies are muscular companion dogs of varying sizes. The English Bulldog is the lowest, heaviest-set and least active of the group.
Male vs female, puppy vs adult
Males are usually a bit larger; personality varies more by individual. A puppy lets you shape habits from day one but needs time for training; an adult's temperament is already known.
