About the Mini Dachshund
Miniature Dachshunds were bred to hunt underground, and the courage that required is still the core of the breed. They are funny, bold and deeply attached to their people.
Their long spine is the single most important part of ownership. Discourage jumping off furniture, use ramps, keep them lean, and carry them down stairs while they are growing.
Training benefits from patience and humour. A Dachshund will absolutely learn what you ask and then negotiate about it. Short, rewarding sessions beat repetition.
